Challenge yourself

It’s a great start to the spring season. With temperatures climbing daily more and more people are inspired to get up and moving.

Remember; Movement is key!!!

With the notion of getting more fit on your mind: Challenge yourself!!

Challenge yourself both physically and in terms of eating.

Don’t put things off until tomorrow. Procrastination is the thing that has gotten you to the place where you are now..…Needing a change.
“I’ll start tomorrow” is the catch phrase of the century. Think of how often you so boldly pronounce…”I’ll do it tomorrow”.
Interesting enough….“Yesterdays tomorrow is actually today”.

So……get moving today and put yourself on the right track.

Compete with yourself. We all love games and competition.

Challenge yourself to do one day a week with no meat.

Challenge yourself to do no sugar for 2 or 3 days straight.

Challenge yourself to no snacking between dinner time and bed time.

Challenge yourself to get in 64 ounces of water in a day.

Pack a lunch at least 2 days per week instead of ordering out.

Any “Challenge” that "you create" is going to be beneficial. There is no right or wrong.

Use your imagination. And remember…Nothing is too small. Starting slow is always the best approach. Consistency of habit is more powerful than difficulty of the action.

Turn on the radio or CD player and dance around for 15 or 20 minutes straight.

Walk the stairs instead of taking the elevator at work.

Take a walk at lunch time instead of hanging out or catnapping. It’s a great time to strap on the iPod and get moving to your favorite music.

Learn to have fun with the challenge.

Let the “Challenge” be the beginning of your walk to wellness. As the days progress, there will be a time when your fitness program will need to get more intense.

But for right now...."Enjoy the great weather and feel better" !!!
